Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Rouso Answers (operated by Rouso Answers). By signing up you agree to them.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

2. Description of Service

Rouso Answers provides an AI phone receptionist that answers inbound calls 24/7, transcribes conversations, answers questions based on your FAQ, and sends call summaries. The service requires a Twilio phone number, which you provide during onboarding.

3. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@rousoanswers.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Subscription and Billing

Plans are billed monthly in advance:

  • Starter — $147/month, up to 200 calls
  • Growth — $397/month, up to 600 calls
  • Pro — $697/month, up to 1,000 calls

New accounts include a 14-day free trial with full access. After the trial, a payment method is required to continue. Subscriptions renew automatically on the same date each month. We do not offer refunds for partial months already used.

4A. Automatic Renewal Disclosure

IMPORTANT NOTICE — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Your Rouso Answers subscription is an automatically renewing subscription. By providing your payment information and subscribing, you authorize Rouso Answers to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Recurring charge. Your selected plan (Starter $147, Growth $397, or Pro $697) will be charged to your payment method on the same calendar day each month (for monthly plans) or each year (for annual plans), beginning at the end of your 14-day free trial, until you cancel.

Length of recurring term. Each recurring term is one month (monthly plans) or twelve months (annual plans). There is no minimum commitment beyond the current billing period.

How to cancel. You may cancel your subscription at any time, with no penalty, through the same online process used to enroll:

  • Sign in to your dashboard at rousoanswers.com/dashboard
  • Go to Settings → Billing
  • Click Cancel subscription — cancellation is immediate and confirmed by email

You may also cancel by emailing cancel@rousoanswers.com from the email address on file. We will not require a phone call or any other extra step to cancel. Your access continues through the end of the current billing period.

California residents. This subscription is subject to the California Automatic Renewal Law (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 17600 et seq., as amended by AB 2863 effective July 1, 2025). You may cancel online using the steps above without any additional steps, and we will send you an acknowledgment of your initial subscription containing the auto-renewal terms, cancellation policy, and a link to the cancellation portal. Before any free-to-paid trial conversion or material price change, we will send a reminder email at least three (3) days in advance.

Price changes. If we change the recurring price of your plan, we will notify you by email at least thirty (30) days before the change takes effect. You may cancel before the new price applies; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

Failed payments. If a recurring charge fails, we will retry up to three times over a seven-day grace period and notify you by email. If payment is not received by the end of the grace period, your subscription will be paused (not canceled) and inbound calls will play a temporary-unavailable message until you update your payment method.

5. Call Limits

Each plan includes a monthly call limit. When your limit is reached, callers hear a "temporarily unavailable" message and you receive an SMS alert. Limits reset on the first of each calendar month. Upgrading your plan immediately restores access.

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Rouso Answers to:

  • Conduct any illegal activity
  • Harass, threaten, or deceive callers
  • Operate as an emergency services line (911 or equivalent)
  • Handle HIPAA-regulated patient health information without a signed BAA with us
  • Resell or white-label the service without our written consent
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer the platform

7. Data Ownership

You own the call data generated through your account, including transcripts and messages. By using the service you grant us a limited license to process that data to provide and improve the service. We do not sell your data to third parties.

8. Third-Party Services

The service depends on Twilio, Deepgram, ElevenLabs, and Anthropic. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or data handling by these third parties. Their respective terms and policies govern their services.

9. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for missed calls, lost business, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our maximum liability to you in any month shall not exceed the amount you paid us in that month.

10. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time through Dashboard → Settings → Billing. Your AI remains active until the end of the current billing period. After termination, your data is available for export for 30 days, then permanently deleted. We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, unless you opt out within 30 days of account creation by emailing legal@rousoanswers.com.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
